An English language pathway to university study

When Minori decided to leave Japan and study abroad, she chose a pathway that began with an intensive English language course. 

Minori then took a pathway into university via a SAIBT diploma course. 

She says the pathway helped her go from barely speaking English to having the language, writing and communication skills she needed for university success.

Migration

International graduates of Adelaide institutions are eligible for an additional year of post-study work rights. 

An extra year of post-study work rights (subclass 485 visa) is available to graduates who have completed a higher education or postgraduate qualification and maintained residence in South Australia as a holder of a first Temporary Graduate Work Visa (subclass 485). 

This gives graduates valuable time to further foster their career after receiving their qualification.

International graduates who have studied in South Australia can be eligible for state nomination as a skilled migrant. 

The General Skilled Migration (GSM) program is a way for skilled people to migrate to Australia. 

The program is a points-based visa system that fills skills shortages in Australia. 

With more occupations on our skilled occupation list, South Australia can offer skilled nominations to graduates from more industries than any other state in Australia. 

Another benefit for South Australian graduates is that they need less work experience in their nominated occupation than other states to apply for nomination.
