There are three state universities in Adelaide - Flinders University, The University of Adelaide and University of South Australia. There is also one private university - Torrens University, and a US university - Carnegie Mellon University. All of the universities offer a range of scholarships for international students. There are also TAFE SA scholarships available including VET scholarships and Higher Education scholarships. Read below for more information on the scholarships they offer.

Vice-Chancellor International Scholarships
The Flinders University Vice-Chancellor International Scholarships offer a 50% reduction in tuition fees for the duration of the program. Undergraduate applicants require an equivalent minimum raw ATAR 95 or above and submission of the application form. Postgraduate applicants require an equivalent GPA of 6.5 or above.
Excellence Scholarships
A 25% reduction in tuition fees for the duration of the program. Undergraduate applicants require an equivalent minimum raw ATAR 80 or above.
Global Scholarships
20% reduction in tuition fees for the duration of the program. Undergraduate applicants require an equivalent ATAR 70 or above and exceed the Flinders entry score by a 5 ATAR. Postgraduate applicants require an equivalent of 5.0 GPA or above.
Alumni Scholarships
20% full duration scholarship to study another undergraduate or postgraduate degree. Applicants must have successfully completed an undergraduate or postgraduate qualification from Flinders University
Pathways Scholarships
If you are currently studying a recognised Australian Diploma, Advanced Diploma, Associate Degree, you could be eligible for a 20% full duration scholarship to study at Flinders. You must have successfully completed a recognised Australian Diploma, Advanced Diploma, Associate Degree or similar, have been granted credit towards their Flinders studies as per the Policy on Credit for Prior and concurrent Study or Work Experience and be onshore in Australia studying in internal mode.
The University of Adelaide Scholarships

Global Citizens Scholarship
Students can receive a reduction between 15% and 30% of the tuition fee. This scholarship rewards international students commencing an undergraduate or postgraduate qualification who have received academic merit in their studies. This scholarship will be awarded at the time of offer.
Global Academic Excellence Scholarship (International)
The scholarship offers a reduction of 50% of the tuition fee for the minimum standard full-time duration of your chosen undergraduate or postgraduate degree. These scholarships are highly competitive awards that reward commencing undergraduate and postgraduate coursework international students who have demonstrated academic excellence in previous studies.
Higher Education Scholarship
The Higher Education Scholarships rewards undergraduate and postgraduate international students who have demonstrated their passion for learning and loyalty to Australian education by successfully completing their year 12 high school studies (undergraduate only) or AQF-recognised course or program at an Australian higher education institution, prior to commencing their degree at the University of Adelaide. This scholarship will be awarded at the time of offer.
Family Scholarship (International)
Did your spouse or sibling study with us? This scholarship is for family members of our current or graduated students. Simply provide an English-translated birth certificate that shows your relationship and receive a 25% tuition fee reduction. If you study full-time and complete your degree within the minimum timeframe, you will receive this reduction each year of your degree.
Alumni Scholarship (International)
Receive a 25% tuition fee reduction if you’re completing a second or subsequent degree at Adelaide. As a graduate, you’ll automatically receive this scholarship, and if you study full-time and complete your degree within the minimum timeframe, you’ll receive a 25% tuition fee reduction each year of your degree.
University of Adelaide College High Achiever Progression Scholarship
The University of Adelaide College High Achiever Progression Scholarship rewards international graduates of the University of Adelaide College, the preferred pathway provider of the University of Adelaide, who have achieved outstanding academic results.

Eynesbury College High Achiever Progression Scholarship

Vice Chancellor's International Excellence Scholarship
Recipients will receive a 50% reduction in their student contributions (tuition fees) for the duration of their degree, or up to a maximum of four years of full-time study (undergraduate or postgraduate degree by coursework). Scholarships can be received for up to a maximum of four years.
International Merit Scholarship
Recipients will receive a 15% reduction in their student contributions (tuition fees) for the duration of their chosen degree. If students are undertaking any studies outside of Australia, the scholarship will only be applied once they are able to commence onshore study in Australia, after borders re-open.
Sponsorship Opportunities
The University of South Australia welcomes students from around 50 different international sponsors including: Australia, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Kuwait, Malaysia, Mexico, Peru, Paraguay, Saudi Arabia, Singapore and Vietnam. Sponsored students receive funding from their home government, university of employer to study at UniSA.
International Postgraduate Research Scholarships
There are a wide range of scholarships available to international research degree current students and new applicants. Many scholarships are industry or area specific. However, a few key scholarships are available to international applicants in any discipline.
TAFE SA Scholarships
TAFE SA is South Australia's largest vocational education and training (VET) provider and one of the largest in Australia. It is also a registered higher education provider and is run by the Government of South Australia.
If you are considering studying in 2022, TAFE SA is offering higher education and VET scholarships.
VET and Higher Education Scholarships
For students commencing in 2022, a one time $1,500 reduction to tuition fees. A credit of AU$750 will be issued against tuition fees in the 2nd and 4th semesters of study.
Relocation Scholarships
The 2022 Relocation Assistance Scholarship is available to both onshore and offshore students that are either relocating from interstate or coming from overseas to commence study with TAFE SA in 2022. The scholarship will provide eligible students with an AU$500 reimbursement of relocation costs.

CMU Australia Scholarships
The compelling value of a CMU degree undertaken at CMU Australia is compounded by its University Merit Scholarships. The value of these scholarships is individually assessed by the Admissions Committee based chiefly on the following factors: Test Score, Academic Record, and Work Experience. The scholarship amount will range between AUD $10,000 to AUD $35,000.
